Cosmetic dentistry, Veneers, Onlays
Thank you for choosing South Shore Dental Prosthetics for your veneers. We are thrilled to have you as a patient and can’t wait to help you achieve the smile of your dreams.
Dental veneers are one of the most popular cosmetic dental procedures. Veneers are thin porcelain shells bonded to the front surface of your teeth. They are used to improve the appearance of your smile by changing the color, shape, and size of your teeth.
But before you decide, it’s essential to understand the pros and cons of veneers.

Let’s look at the pros of dental veneers:
1. Veneers can give you a beautiful, natural-looking smile.
If your teeth are stained, chipped, or misshapen, veneers can give you a smile that looks brand new. Veneers are made of thin porcelain shells that are custom-crafted to fit over your existing teeth. They’re designed to look like natural teeth, so no one will be able to tell that you’ve had work done.
2. Veneers are durable and long-lasting.
With proper care, veneers can last for many years. They’re resistant to staining and wear so that you can enjoy your new smile for a long time.
3. Veneers can improve oral health.
If your teeth are damaged or misaligned, veneers can help improve your oral health. By correcting the shape of your teeth, veneers can help you bite and chew more effectively. And by closing gaps between your teeth, veneers can also help prevent gum disease.
4. Veneers are a minimally invasive procedure.
Compared to other cosmetic dentistry procedures, veneers are relatively quick and easy to place. In most cases, we can complete the entire process in just two visits to our dental office.
Getting veneers is straightforward, and we will ensure you are comfortable and informed at every step.
First, we will take X-rays and impressions of your teeth to obtain the perfect fit for your veneers. Once your veneers are ready, we will bond them to your teeth using a unique adhesive. We will usually do this procedure in two visits to our office. Dr. Pavlicic will prepare your teeth for the veneers during the first visit by removing a small amount of enamel from the front surface of your teeth. A necessary step to ensure that the veneers fit properly and look natural. Once Dr. Pavlicic prepares your teeth, the team will take impressions of your teeth. These impressions are then used to create your custom veneers. The making of veneers usually takes about two weeks.
During your second visit to our office, we will bond the veneers to your teeth. Dr. Pavlicic will first clean your teeth and apply a special bonding agent to the front surface of your teeth. We will then place the veneers on your teeth and use a light to harden the bonding agent. After the veneers have been bonded to your teeth, Dr. Pavlicic will trim off any excess material and polish the veneers. The entire process usually takes about two hours. Dental veneers are a great way to improve the appearance of your smile.
